Please do not ruin your chances of joining/staying in a coven if you manage to join a coven. Read the following guidelines:

  1. First, why do you want to join a coven? If your answer is anyone of the following reasons, you are probably not ready to join a coven:

·        They are “Mysterious” or “Different”

·        You are looking for fun people to party with

·        You need more friends

  1. Missing a meeting or ritual because you had to do any of the following is not acceptable: you promised to go drinking, be a wingman, you want to see your girlfriend, or because you have to catch up on your homework. None of these are reasons to miss a meeting.
  2. A coven is not a social club. It is a very spiritual thing. These people should be your extended family. There should be no bad blood between you. You should all also feel comfortable around each other.
  3. Do not allow the coven/coven members talk you into doing anything you do not approve of. If it doesn’t feel right to you, it isn’t. This includes doing drugs and skyclad (naked) rituals.
  4. If you cannot accept the rules or regulations of the coven, walk away. This is key: you must be able to tell when you cannot handle being with the coven. You will only be wasting their time along with yours. Leave on a positive note, though. You never know when you might need the help of one of the coven members.
  5. If a coven tries to make you use drugs of any type, LEAVE. Recreational drugs are ILLEGAL; if you are caught using or possessing them will get you arrested! You will go to jail!
  6. If you join a coven, remember the following:
    • You are not a slave, servant, or housekeeper for the members of the coven.
    • You are a student; this means shut your mouth and listen.
    • You are supposed to have some background knowledge; STUDY.
    • If any part of the coven’s life or rituals seems weird or scary to you, LEAVE. We cannot stress this enough, DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO SOMETHING YOU CANNOT HANDLE!!!
  7. Finally, you need to remember that all witches are good people. Most will not try to hurt you but you still need to do your background research on your potential coven.
